Bees! Bees! Bees Everywhere!

You officially win my respect if you can name the source of the quote which makes the title of this post. (Hint: "Run away, your firearms are useless against them!")

OK, so we went to a Salt Lake Bees (or Stingers, or Buzz, or Trappers, whatever you learned their name was as a kid) game two weeks ago. My brother Clint told us of the wonders of Weenie Wednesday, where you can get hot dogs for a buck on Wednesday nights. I tried to convince Jenny to let me eat a hot dog per inning, but she shot that idea down pretty quick. I guess she's been looking at some of these pictures of me lately and realizes I probably shouldn't be packing away any more calories than are absolutely necessary. . .

Anyway, we went with the Draper clan and had a good time. The Bees won in dramatic fashion; a walk-off base-on-balls with the bases loaded in extra innings. Madeleine and Tori had a good time. Madeleine spent a lot of the time trying to "catch" her nerf ball on the velcro of her mitt, as seen here. She was pretty good at it. That kid has some serious coordination when she puts her mind to it.

She also had fun meeting the Bee mascot ("Bumble") and riding the train around the outfield. Getting seats on the outfield grass is where it is at. Kids can run around and have a good time without being confined to little rows and seats. Plus they have a little playground and a free train out there for little ones, so they're always entertained.

Tori had the most fun with the concessions, as seen here. She is fascinated with eating like an adult, so cups are endlessly entertaining to her. What a funny girl.
